Youth Festival “XITIJ-2016”

I am happy to inform you that University is planning to organize Youth festival “XITIJ-2016” for the year 2016-17 for the students of Degree & Diploma institutes separately in the Odd Semester of 2016.

Following broad categories of events will be considered for the youth festival.
1. Music:
              a) Classical Vocal Solo - (Hindustani or Karnataki)
              b) Classical Instrumental Solo - (Percussion)
              c) Classical Instrumental Solo - (Non-Percussion)
              d) Light Vocal (Indian)
              e) Western Vocal (Solo)
              f) Group Song (Indian)
              g) Group Song (Western)
              h) Folk Orchestra

2. Dance:
              a) Folk/Tribal Dance
              b) Classical Dance (Indian)

3. Literature:
              a) Quiz
              b) Elocution
              c) Debate
              d) Extempore
              e) Poetry Recitation
              f) Poetry Completion (Pad-Purti)

4. Theatre:
              a) One Act Play
              b) Skits
              c) Mime
              d) Mimicry
              e) Mono Acting (EK Patriya Abhinay)

5. Fine Arts:
              a) On the Spot Painting
              b) Collage
              c) Poster Making
              d) Clay Modeling
              e) Cartooning
              f) Rangoli
              g) Ad Making Competition

 All interested students as well as colleges can start their preparation to participate in youth festival. Students can participate through their respective colleges only. Participation forms will be uploaded soon on GTU website.

Youth Festival will be organized at Zonal level i.e. five zones separately.
Finally inter zonal competition will be organized at last. Rules and Regulation along with the programme will be uploaded on the GTU Website very soon. All interested colleges who want to host youth festival can send Letter of Interest as per the format attached with this circular & email it to youthfestival@gtu.edu.in on or before 24 th June, 2016.

Necessary financial support will be provided by GTU.
